Sick Day

The kids were both sick on a Thursday a couple of weeks ago.  They were actually both so calm the whole morning.  Usually I can't get a thing done because they are running around and wanting attention, but this morning they both sat quietly and read books for about half an hour (I was able to get the dishes done after breakfast!).  And it was really cute to see them reading together.  I joined them once the dishes were done and we read a bunch of books.

We are famous!

Well, just kind of famous.  Just over a year ago there was a email sent out to our stake about our church taking pictures of families.  We weren't sure if we wanted to volunteer for it, but Josh sent in an email with some family pictures saying that we were available.  He also included the following picture of Matthias in that email.

We were emailed back and invited up to have our pictures taken.  The lady who was in charge of all of it told us that she had decided to have us come up because of Matthias' picture.  Who can deny the cuteness of my little boy?

Anyway, we went up to the temple on the assigned day and time.  It was freezing, but we were trying to pretend like it wasn't.  It didn't take very long.  We were told that we would get a copy of the pictures, but never received any (too bad!).  We really thought nothing would ever come of it.  Then this week we received emails and messages from friends and family saying that they had spotted us on the church website (here).  We were really surprised.  It's not our best family picture, but my kids both look good in it!

I love the artwork that my kids do at Preschool.  I just thought I would share some of the things they did during Fall 2012.  You may not be impressed, but I think it's awesome.
